Local Charities to Benefit from Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Celebration
KANSAS CITY, MO (Aug. 23, 2011) Some of Kansas City’s most popular cake designers and bakeries will test their talents and time management skills to see who can create The Greatest Cake on Earth as they race against the clock and one another on Wednesday, August 31 in the Grand Hall at Union Station, 30 West Pershing in Kansas City. The event is free and open to the public
The decorating challenge will celebrate the 200th anniversary of showman extraordinaire, P.T Barnum and herald the upcoming arrival of Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey® Presents BARNUM 200SM – the 140th edition of The Greatest Show on Earth. In addition to hometown pride, the teams will be vying to win 100 tickets for their favorite children’s charities to the opening night performance of BARNUM 200SM, which plays Sept. 7-11 at Sprint Center.
